OTHER OPPORTUNITIES
Possums are a nocturnal pest here in New Zealand, sneaking into our native bird nests eating eggs and decreasing the population of birds. Possums don’t have any natural predators to keep them under control, so they are commonly overpopulating the entire country. As an easy animal to hunt at night, all is needed is a spotlight. This is a great opportunity to take out the whole group and have an exciting night together. A visit to Kuranui would be incomplete without a nighttime spotlight hunt for possums and rabbits.
